This was a special time for me to be able to share and pray with the cleaners before they met with CBD building owners and office workers during anti-poverty week to educate and engage around the issues effecting the working poor.
Cleaners spoke about their Clean Start Campaign which aims to build better jobs in the contract cleaning industry. They were asking tenants the key issue 'could you afford to support a family on $302 a week?' and calling them to support the Campaign to lift cleaners out of poverty by signing a post card and talking to their colleagues.
