Kids' Church

Sunday morning on the 9th of September was a special day at St Oswald’s with the commencement of Kids’ Church.

St Oswald's at Trevallyn is one of the churches in the Riverlinks Parish. Eight children and six young mums and dads attended with 15 of the regular St Oswald’s congregation, who came to offer their support.

Our musos Peter Stewart and Stephen Janes commenced with two fun songs and Anne Morley presented the theme of the day ‘Love God and Love your neighbour’ with a dramatised version of the Parable of the Good Samaritan [Luke 10: 25-37].

The children made a ‘heart shaped’ hanging with the words of the two great commandments and/or figure cutouts of ‘neighbours’ to record ways they could be a good neighbour. St Oswald’s ladies served heart-shaped cookies, fruit and cordial, and tea and coffee.

Have you invited anyone to attend our Kids’ Church?
