Generous donation to Mission to Seafarers

Mr Richard Fader of Tasmanian Shipping Suppliers gave five new recliner lounge chairs for the sitting room in the Flying Angel Centre.

Already many seafarers visiting the Centre have appreciated being able to sit in a lounge chair and put their feet up while watching TV; something they cannot do on a ship! Mr Fader and his company have had a long interest in the Mission and he feels that the work of the Mission complements his role in supplying ships coming to Hobart.

Good quality magazines needed

The Flying Angel Centre needs donations of quality magazines in good condition to give to seafarers. Australian Geographic, National Geographic, Readers’ Digest, 42 Degrees South and similar mags are very popular.

Welcome to our AGM - Yes, another one!

Bishop John will chair the AGM starting with a service. The new National Liaison and Support Secretary, Mr Colin Brown, will speak about the work of MtS in the 23 Stations around Australia. All are welcome to attend the meeting and hear Mr Brown.

Please contact the Chaplain on 6234 6016 if you are able to help.
