Nostalgia Now goes to the movies
They don't make movies like they used to!
It's when those images of late-night TV murders remain in your mind that you wonder if this may be the best way to end your night. So the answer is to create your own viewing via DVD and going to Nostalgia Now Movies at the State Theatre.
For me the local picture theatre held all the memories of childhood until it was knocked down in the 80s for a Pizza Hut.
The first movie I saw was Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson. Because the island was attacked by pirates, they dug holes for the pirates and tigers to fall in.
From then on I was fixed on the idea of having a tree house. My family was living in the UK at the time and my brother and I dug a pit and cut down bamboo which was growing in a mass at the end of the garden.
We checked the pit after a few days and found the next door neighbour's cat and a hedgehog. So it was not as successful as we thought - there were no pirates or tigers! But the film certainly opened the door to imagination and adventure.
Here is a bit of nostalgia memory.
