Blokes' Big Brekky at Bellerive
Bishop John with some of the other Blokes washing up after their Big Brekky.
Or perhaps that should read BIG Blokes' Brekky!
After consuming sausages, bacon and eggs, baked beans, cereal, fruit, toast and more, there were 25 men who felt considerably bigger after breakfast than before!
The Brekky was the start of a new men's ministry at Bellerive. 25 men, some who were regular churchgoers, and some who weren't, gathered to enjoy good food, good conversation, and a fascinating tale by John Harrower of how an ordinary bloke like him became a Christian, a missionary, and then a Bishop.
The men present certainly related to this 'normal' man, who also happened to be a bishop, telling of the impact of Jesus on his life, his work and his family.
We look forward to this (stomach-) expanding ministry continuing to develop over the next year or so, as 'real men' grow in understanding why God is important in their lives.
