'One Land, One Saviour'

With buzzwords like 'intervention' and 'apology' in the air, right now white Australians are showing a renewed interest in the wellbeing of their Aboriginal countrymen.

But how do Christians cut through the media spin and discover what God is doing among Indigenous people, and what he wants us to do to support them?

In a handful of isolated communities in Arnhem Land, God has been working through CMS missionaries for the past century.

One Land, One Saviour ... seeing Aboriginal lives transformed by Christ is a collection of essays by missionaries active for half of that century, and by other key workers in the Northern Territory - including the current and previous Bishops, and award-winning historian John Harris.

Ranging from history to memoir to social commentary, these essays have one common thread: their authors' passionate love for Aboriginal people, and a fervent desire to share their sometimes triumphant, often tragic story.

Between them these essays paint a portrait of the Indigenous Church that will surely rouse every Christian in Australia to action.
