Walk Against Poverty - What a joy!

The Walk Against Poverty was one of the most significant events of the 2008 Lambeth Conference.

As we walked with bishops and their spouses from all around the world through central London and past the Parliament buildings, our aim was to remind governments to honour the promises they made to reduce world poverty via the Millennium Development Goals.

We also participated in workshops on poverty and AIDS and I was invited by Micah Challenge to present to a seminar the positive steps of the Australian government and Christian mission agencies.

Under God's good hand and in solidarity with people of goodwill we are to do justice, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8).

What a joy to do what the Lord requires!
