Youth leaders from around the state enjoyed the Fruitful Conference.
Children's and youth ministry update
Tim Hawkins was in the state during the month of June. He met with people working with children and youth in the North West and North of the state and was the guest speaker at Fruitful Conference.
It was great to hear about the ministries to children and youth that are happening around the state. These ministries all have a common story; there was an opportunity and need to minister to the children, youth and families in their area and as a result new ministries began. Some of these ministries have been going for a couple of years now, and so are entering a new stage ministering to older children and high schoolers.
Meanwhile new ministries and opportunities to reach out to the next generation continue to pop up.
The program Mainly Music is seeing great connections being made with children and their families in Riverlinks and youth ministry in Beaconsfield continues to grow.
Please pray for the ministries that you are aware of around the state for the leaders and those who attend.
Fruitful Conference was held from 26-28 of June where youth and young adults from the North and South gathered for a weekend of leadership training. Tim Hawkins was the guest speaker and challenged those who attended to be fruitful disciples, both personally and in their ministries.
Workshops were also run over the weekend equipping leaders from the beginner to the very experienced.
It is exciting to see how God is working to grow his church in Tasmania. Give thanks for the people who attended this weekend, who were encouraged and equipped to have fruitful ministries. Pray that they would continue to faithfully serve God in their ministries.
