Order of St Luke
Important ministry of healing
The Healing Ministry is an important part of Jesus ministry, usually following his teaching ministry.
The Order of St Luke is a world-wide interdenominational body of Christians who believe that the healing of body and mind was a real part of the total ministry of Jesus Christ.
Jesus commissioned his followers to continue this ministry and in obedience to his command to 'heal the sick'. The ultimate aim of the Order of St Luke is the restoration of the Healing Ministry to the normal stream of church life.
One Chapter (general meeting) of the Order of St Luke meets locally at St Thomas’ Church, Howrah on the third Thursday of each month beginning with fellowship and morning tea at 10.00am.
The session begins with a study on an aspect of the healing ministry and concludes with an opportunity to pray for those requiring the healing touch of Jesus.
Meetings are open to all who are interested in the healing of Jesus for today. We study, pray and learn together, so you do not have to be an expert or have any previous experience.
A group of people are interested in commencing a Chapter of OSL in the Huon. The meetings will be held on the last Wednesday of the month at St James' Hall, Ranelagh commencing at 7.00pm.
We welcome anyone interested in the ministry of healing through the power of Jesus Christ.
