Bishop John asked people to share their thoughts on his Prayer Pilgrimage across the state and islands of Tasmania. Read them here, with a selection of photos from the Bishop's camera.
- City of Devonport — Everyone who attended the Bishop’s Prayer Pilgrimage thoroughly enjoyed it and would like to thank you for sharing it with us.
- Bishop’s Prayer Retreat — Thank you for the retreat at Maryknoll. It has led to a new commitment in serving Jesus and the community in which I live. It was also a blessing to meet with others gathered at the retreat, to get to know them and hear their stories. It gives so much more meaning to the Diocesan Prayer Diary when praying for people whom you have met.
- Claremont — Thank you for your prayer pilgrimage visit to Edge. It is a wonderful gift to our diocese (and state) for us to meet with you in prayer. We believe the blessings from your desire to gather our communities of faith together in prayer will continue to flow outwards like ripples in a pond. The way you led us all was beautiful and very engaging.
- West Tamar — Thank you for joining in on our prayer walk recently through the Tamar Valley. We were truly blessed by your companionship, encouragement and prayers and we are eagerly anticipating seeing the fruits of all those prayers made in such joyful hope!
- West Coast — Very encouraging and very uplifting. Spiritually strengthening. It was a great time and the prayers were wonderful. Our prayers will reap a harvest, for we reap what we sow.
- Moonah — When Bishop John came to St Mary’s in the Parish of Moonah on the 20th of June he arrived in time to share in the regular Parish Sunday morning Eucharist and was able to simply be a part of the service without having to lead anything. This created a prayerfulness which flowed over into the Prayer Pilgrimage. Throughout our prayers we focussed on our adoration of God, confessing our need for God’s forgiveness, thanking God for all God’s blessings and offering supplications to God for the needs of our beautiful, but fragile, world.
