Bishop John on holiday
Fractis sed utilis
On Labour Day Bishop John fulfilled the one clear aim of his long service leave when he visited the Village of Lower Crackpot at the Promised Land, Tasmazia and met Brian and Laura Inder, Laird and Lady Crackpot; and Bob McKay, Rector of Lower Crackpot, and his wife Jan.
With a tour of the Village and the maze, followed by a feast of pancakes, Bishop John experienced the vision, hard work and perseverance of an outstanding and passionate couple.
As well as being the Bishop of Lower Crackpot, Bishop John is a member of Clan Crackpot and wore the clan tartan tie for the day. The Village motto is Fractis sed utilis, which translates, ‘broken but still useful' - which a cracked pot is. Visit the website.
