Special stoles
The Anglican Board of Mission welcomes and congratulates those newly ordained into the Church of God. On Wednesday 5 September Ken Shepherd (New Norfolk) and Rosie Newport (Northern Midlands) were ordained deacons at St Matthew’s Church, New Norfolk. As a congratulatory present they were given a green stole by the National ABM group.
On Sunday 9 Heather Turner (City of Devonport) and Frank Lee (Latrobe) were ordained Priest at St John’s, Devonport. They were also presented with a red stole by ABM and are pictured displaying their stoles after the ceremony celebrated by Bishop John.
These special stoles are woven as a fundraiser in one of ABM’s overseas partner churches.
